Katy credits most of her training in the design field to her experience at J. Haddock Interiors, a full-service residential design studio in Winter Park, Florida. Her appreciation for antiques and art began while living in London for three years and developed an interest for design while attending The College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. She would best classify her design aesthetic as modern traditionalist, incorporating elements of the past in fresh and unexpected ways. Although she enjoys all aspects of design, her passion for sourcing fabrics, artwork, and furniture is where she feels most inspired. She approaches each project with fresh eyes and believes that collaboration is an essential component resulting in the best outcome.
Kellie developed her love and appreciation for design watching her parents renovate historic investment properties which led her down her career path. After graduating from Florida State University, she moved to Orlando where she continued to renovate & design home interiors. She has an incredible talent for space planning and believes that proper scale and proportion is the foundation to all good design. Her favorite projects often involve kitchens and bathrooms and solving space challenges for clients. Classic, functional and inviting are characteristics best represented in Kellie’s design approach.
